Ink and Marker Work
This selection represents work I do in my sketchbook. I tend to do these over several sittings. By working from photographs, I have more freedom to focus on the details I find compelling.

This is the sketch of my living room I did early in the pandemic. I decided to work in blues because there is a cold serenity in the color blue that seemed fitting for the world being turned on its head.
This is a house I passed on one of my mid-pandemic walks. I did it in two different styles. Ink on paper
This is another house on the Fox River in Wisconsin from when I went back in May.
Drawing of my second bedroom that I finished within the first month of the pandemic. I did this over a few sittings because hey, why not, I had time.
This is a completed still life of the a single purchase early in the quarantine. I like this drawing a lot because I pushed myself not to get caught up on every detail (ie. the vermouth label, which could have taken me at least another hour). Instead, I tried to work quickly with bold lines from my and more intense colors, making changes as I went.
