Print - Castle and Key Distillery
This is a marker drawing Castle and Key Distillery, located in Frankfort, KY. The distillery was originally built in 1887 and forced to close in 1920, due to prohibition. In 2014, Castle and Key purchased the distillery, which had been in ruins. The preservation clearly paid off - it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. Also, the name Castle and Key comes from the castle that greets visitors and a keyhole-shaped springhouse located on the other side of the castle. I can't overstate how beautiful this distillery is, and I'm really looking forward to taking a tour when I go back!
This print is on high quality pure cellulose watercolor paper with bright whites and a distinct, coarsely textured surface. Paper made by Hahnemuhle.
I will be keeping a limited inventory of these, so you can expect about a 10-14 day turnaround from the time you order them until I’m able to get them shipped.
