Print - Gazebo at Washington Park
This is a print of a painting I did on location. Back in April, the weather was nice enough that I could sit for an hour, so I grabbed my art supplies and drove to Washington Park in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. I found a bench and got to work. After an hour, here was what I put down on paper. I really love this because it was my work that day. It was a snapshot of the people coming and going, of the gazebo in the park, of my abilities, of the weather, and of my materials, on that mid-April afternoon. My imprecise brushstrokes, misplaced ink, and erased lines here on paper. It’s the process that keeps me venturing into the world, sketchbook in hand. This piece will also be featured in my third book, which I am aiming to finish by the late spring.
This print is on high quality pure cellulose watercolor paper with bright whites and a distinct, coarsely textured surface. Paper made by Hahnemuhle.
I will be mailing prints first class through USPS, so you can expect a 1-5 day turnaround from when I’m able to get to the post office.
